Materials & Tools

Here’s a list of the materials you’ll need:

• Ruler, at least 12 inches long
• Pencil
• Scissors and/or an exacto or utility knife and cutting mat
• Glue stick
• Book binding awl or pushpin
• 1/8 inch ribbon, 12 inches (or more if you are making a larger book)
• Bead with a large hole
• Post-it note or other notepad (I use 3×3 inch post-it in the class example.)
• Cap style pencil eraser or other mark making tool
• Stamp pad, any color to contrast your paper color
• Sheet of paper at least double the size of your notepad (I used a 9×12 sheet of newsprint/construction paper for class)
• Recycled cardboard like a cereal box or mailing envelope
